They say that the latest buzz in the rapidly changing world of electronics involves the release date of the iPad 3 for those who are skeptical about getting the iPad 2 for fear of its successor not being far behind.
According to several reports deriving from a website based in Taiwan, with the possible release date of the iPhone 5 in the upcoming months, Apple is in the process of securing additional manufacturing partnerships that are allegedly involved in their latest hot new product, the iPad 3.
The juicy nature of the reports indicates that Pegatron, an electronic manufacturer based in Taiwan, may be involved in the iPad 3 production. Sources choosing to remain anonymous from the Taiwan based website CENS, stated that Pegatron is close to winning the bid as the primary manufacturer for the iPad3 since they have “effectively integrated its production resources specifically for tablet PCs and built close partnership”. Additionally, Pegatron has already supplied the CDMA version of the iPhone to Apple.
DigiTimes, a website on technology news, reported earlier in July that Pegatron secured 15 million iPhone 5 orders from Apple and will begin shipping in September of this year.
Sources at DigiTimes have even indicated that Apple has begun the certifying process of components for the iPad 3. A few of the components have already received official certification such as Radiant Opto-Electronics for LED backlight units.
According to a Taiwan based components maker, which may or may not be Pegatron, the iPad 3 release date should be scheduled somewhere in 2012. Previous rumors indicating that Apple would release the iPad 3 later in 2011 now seem to be false.
